To support a core growth area for UBM Built Environment, a key new role has been created within the commercial team to focus on & deliver new business & creative packages across our growing portfolio of virtual events.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Sales Manager this role is responsible for the account management & new business across current and developing virtual events - involving business development & future account management. Including Sustainability Now, Housing Now, Infrastructure Now & emerging events
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
• Achievement of related budgets across the portfolio of virtual events
• Developing bespoke client packages
• Development & implementation of bespoke virtual event strategy for their target clients
• Driving new business sales through tele-sales, with some face to face meetings if / when required
• Professional internal communication with relevant departments
• Monthly & weekly reporting on progress & activity
• Professional and successful networking at industry events, exhibitions & awards
• Deliver market intelligence, encapsulating competitive events, titles, print and digital, on an ongoing basis
• Working closely with the Sales Manager to identify new revenue opportunities in relation to current & new events
• Knowledge of, & confidence in presenting, wider brands & portfolio
• Introduce & pass on portfolio leads to the commercial team as appropriate

• Media sales experience – preferably in online and digital media
• Some face to face preferred but not essential
• Strong presentation skills (formal and informal)
• Creativity when selling
• Professionalism & confidence when dealing with clients and internally
• Self-motivated & pro-active approach to sales, with a proven track record of delivering new business
• Organisational & project management skills ensuring a systematic and rigorous approach to territory management
• Knowledge of the construction & architecture industry preferred but not essential
