The customer management and ATC portfolio has more than 20 years experience in producing leading B2B events and publications that reflect the rapidly changing and diverse high tech call centre and marketing media. It remains at the forefront of the industry by continuously developing existing events and adding new products to its portfolio. At the beginning of 2007 the portfolio acquired Quest Media adding a series of complementary customer service and sales products to the group, plus the enormously successful awards programme, the National Business Awards. At the end of the year it also acquired Ithaca media which included Internet World and the Service Management group.

The Position
 
Key responsibilities:
  Design and facilitate marketing strategy and plans across all events;
Support implementation of plans by event marketing team;
Evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implement marketing plan alterations as needed;
Work with group directors to set and manage budgets and targets for all events in line with business requirements;
Oversee all marketing communications and analysis within the event portfolio including:
o Copy, design, mailing, printing
o Identification of strategic partners to increase marketing reach
o PR and external advertising
o Online and digital marketing
o List building and development of event marketing prospect database
o Campaign effectiveness and response analysis
o Post event analysis and intelligence
o Competitor intelligence
o New and innovative marketing solutions
Report back to head of marketing and event director on effectiveness of campaigns, areas of concern, new innovations and ability to achieve business targets;
Select appropriate suppliers for marketing strategies to meet budget and team requirements;
Implement and advise team on best practice marketing;
Work closely with group directors, event managers and editors across the business to promote events effectively to relevant community;
Supervise senior marketing exec as direct line report and oversee management of marketing assistant.

Strong communication skills – ability to negotiate with suppliers, and maintain professional internal and external relationships.
Ability to be highly organised and able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously;
Proactively able to establish and maintain effective working team relationships within own team and with all other departments;
Strong leadership and consensus building skills;
Marketing management and strategic planning experience;
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications.
 
Experience:
Experience within an event marketing management role;
Extensive experience of developing, maintaining and delivering on marketing strategies to meet company objectives;
A strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements;
A proven ability to oversee strategy, tactics and team management.
 
Reporting into:
  Head of Marketing, but with a large degree of liaison with the event manager
