Georgie Hobbs

Georgie studied American Literature at Sussex University before undertaking a postgraduate qualification in magazine journalism at City University, London.

 

When she joined CMPi as a graduate she had already gained work experience on TTG and Music Week, as well as Dazed and confused magazine.

 She explains here how the training scheme has built on this experience: "CMPi granted me a bursary so that I was able to undertake my postgraduate course which was an invaluable stepping stone for me.

 

"Nevertheless, while a course can only teach you so much, the actual on-the-job training has opened my eyes to the challenges and benefits of journalism in ‘the real world’."
